Q:

Is Bernie's an approved driving school?

A:

Bernie's is a Ministry Approved Beginner Driver Education Course Provider. We are audited by the Ministry of Ontario.

Q:

Why is 'that other big school' so much more expensive than you and is your school as good as their ads claim them to be?

A:

Fact is we don't have huge franchise and advertising fees. Bernie's classes are always full due to word of mouth and referrals. Our success is based on your success. Without this we do not exist.

Q:

After course completion, is the certificate I receive from Bernie's the same as the one from 'that other big pricey school'?

A:

All Ministry Approved Beginner Driver Education Course Providers receive the identical certificate from the Government.

Q:

Are the in-car lessons private?

A:

At Bernie's your lessons are one on one. We do not believe in piling 3 students in the car like some of the high school programs do. Too many distractions.

Q:

Is there a fee for the certificate?

A:

At Bernie's there are no hidden costs. The certificate is included in the fee for the course. Some schools have a surcharge for the certificate.

Q:

Can I be picked up at home, school or work?

A:

Pick-up is provided at no extra cost within Mississauga city limits.

Q:

Do I have to finish all of my classes?

A:

Yes. It's mandatory that you successfully complete 25 hours of in-class and a minimum of 10 hours of in-car training.

Q:

How soon can I get my G2?

A:

Upon successful completion of the course and after your initial 8 month waiting period from the time you receive your G1, you are eligible to try the test. Because at Bernie's we are more interested in our student's safety than how fast you get your G2, we recommend you attempt the test only when we feel you are road worthy.

Q:

How many hours of behind the wheel training should I have before attempting the test?

A:

We strongly recommend at least 50 hours of behind the wheel training.

Q:

What is your road test pass rate?

Happy Grads

A:

I'm confident that our pass rate is one of the highest if not the highest in Mississauga i.e.: Last year 102 out of 105 enrolled Philip Pocock Secondary School students passed their road test on the first try!! This is unheard of in the Industry and something I am personally very proud of.
